‚ÄčIt's how we speed development of your new products. And it's how we ensure consistency of those new products from plant to plant.

It's process innovation. And we have an entire facility dedicated to it.

The 10,000-sq.-ft. (900m2) Process Innovation Center at our headquarters in Bridgewater, N.J., has the resources to emulate every manufacturing step at every one of our manufacturing facilities around the globe, where we improve and optimize specialty starch production every step of the way. The Process Technology Group works with all starch sources, including corn, waxy maize, tapioca, sago palm and rice.

Here are just a few of the processes you'll find at the Process Innovation Center:
  • Corn wet milling system
  • Starch slurry reactions
  • Starch dewatering and drying
  • Cold water swelling starches via drum drying and spray cooking
  • Dry thermal treatment of starches
  • Blending
  • Separation processes (e.g., filter press, membrane separation)
